WCUP Long Distance Sports Drink is the isotonic thirst quencher for athletes who cover long distances, such as cyclists, triathletes and marathon runners. This sports drink is perfectly tailored to the specific needs of long endurance training and competitions, so that you can keep your performance at a consistently high level.

Developed in collaboration with professional triathlete Bart Aernouts, this drink offers everything you need to keep going, even during the toughest efforts.

What makes W CUP Long Distance Sports Drink unique is the optimal ratio of slow sugars: maltodextrin and fructose (2:1). This ensures a steady energy supply without burdening your stomach. With a fresh Lemon flavour, it remains pleasant to drink, even during long efforts. Ideal to keep your energy level stable, without annoying stomach complaints.

Hydration and electrolyte balance during long distance sports

During intense training and competitions, your body loses a lot of fluid through perspiration , which is essential for regulating your body temperature. However, this fluid loss can have a negative impact on your performance, so it is important to drink enough. WCUP Long Distance Sports Drink not only ensures that your fluid balance is maintained, but also replenishes essential electrolytes such as potassium and magnesium. These minerals help you retain fluid better and ensure that your thirst is stimulated, so that you stay optimally hydrated.

Replenish glycogen stores during endurance training

In endurance sports such as cycling, running or triathlons, your performance depends on the glycogen stores in your muscles. These are quickly depleted during long efforts, especially if you do not consume extra carbohydrates. Without supplementation, your glycogen reserves can be depleted after just 90 minutes. Recommended carbohydrate intake during exercise

Depending on the duration of your effort, it is important to take in the right amount of carbohydrates. For training or competitions of 1 to 2 hours, 30 g of carbohydrates per hour is recommended, which corresponds to approximately 500 ml of the sports drink. For efforts of 2 to 3 hours, 60 g of carbohydrates per hour (approximately 1 liter) is ideal. For sessions of more than 3 hours, you may even need up to 90 g of carbohydrates per hour, which corresponds to a maximum of 1.5 liters.
